Lucius blasted him with a gust of wind from his wings, but that only served to set up Lucius next move: he created a portal to Hell right below Alister. A spell Lucius uses when he needs to see his father, but in this instance it would be used to remove Alister from the battle. As soon as he pasted through the portal Lucius closed it while flying ever high until he reached the ceiling of the gym.
