Xukhezur alighted his craft upon the ground near where Lu'Vayla now stood in the wake of the illusion's disappearance, as he telepathically bade his optic orbs by means of his mind link with them, to resume their normal mapping patterns of the city and surrounding lands. He then looked around at the apprehensive glances cast his way, and released himself from fearsome looking effigy mecha, stepping free from within the construct to then have it meekly follow about behind him like a lost puppy. "Well, I'm alright if you are, Captain," he said quietly to Lu'Vayla. "We should seek a money changer, so we can at least buy ourselves some of that waybread before these elves think of an excuse to withdraw their hospitality." He had a few pearls and a couple tiny gems in a small pouch in his belt pocket, and knew that exchanging one of them should give them enough of the elven currency for their stay. As he walked up to the bakery vendor, he quietly him that he wished to buy some waybread, but lacked the currency required. He then discreetly asked him if there was a money changer nearby, that he could visit. Meanwhile, a messenger approached Lu'Vayla on the edge of the carefully tended street, and informed her that the Queen wished to bring her and her companion in for an audience. Before Xukhezur could get an answer to his question, he followed the bakery vendor's eyes to the effigy that stood perhaps two yards behind him, and beyond that, to where Lu'Vayla was speaking with the messenger. "Excuse me," Xukhezur apologized, and walked back in time to hear what else the messenger had to say....
