The sun was almost unbearably hot. Madison almost hadn't noticed it before; she was so keen on finding the voices or just someone. Her face was a bit red, cheeks redder, as well as her exposed arms and some of her chest and neck. She knew she was sunburned and she could feel a bit of sweat rolling down her face. Why was it so hot? She noticed all the shade the jungle was providing and knew she needed to take a break in the shade. But she was afraid of being left alone. Being left alone wasn't a huge fear of hers but on this island, after the wreck, she wanted to find someone and now. Venturing into the jungle wouldn't do any good right now. She tried to forget the horrors of the shipwreck, the water encasing her and her blacking out from fear. Before she could get her heart rate up again from recalling the memories, she spotted a man and let out a sigh of relief. She wasn't alone, she wasn't imagining the voices. He had almost scared her, coming from the fronds, but she managed to just move faster to get closer and speak to him. "Hello." she returned and cleared her throat a bit; it felt as dry as the sand felt beneath her feet. It was uncomfortable and she cleared it again, covering her mouth before using that hand to heave her dress up above her ankles again. The sun was helping dry it but the damage was done; it was still heavy and ruined. "I think I'm just getting too hot; besides that, I'll be okay... once I find drinkable water, that is," she said. She wouldn't mind resting in the shade, though; the sun beating down was not helping how she felt. She shook a piece of brown hair away from her face. "I'm Madison. Actually, it is nice to meet you. I'm just relieved to see another face," she told him honestly, giving a slight smile, though it didn't reach her eyes. She was still recovering from the shock of it all.
