Anthony continued down the stream, staying silent now. All he could hear was the water rushing next to him and the light wind sifting through the leaves. Nothing around him stirred, but he stayed vigilant. As he continued down for a little bit longer he could hearing some running in the distance. Drawing his rifle he looked towards the sound, but couldn't see anything through the dense forest. Should he call out? The hunter wasn't sure. Anthony's hand went to his pocket where his ammo was, but decided to refrain from using it until he knew that he was dealing with a threat. Anthony held still, keeping his breaths short. Finally, after a moment he grabbed a rock with his right hand and threw it far away from him down the stream. If whatever made that noise was hunting for something, it should go after the noise, and the hunter would be ready. Anthony saw something emerge from the bushes. He narrowed his eyes and grabbed for his ammo.
