Having a fifth year character is nice an all, until you realize they would interact with the cast only as much as, say, Percy. Also, aren't we supposed to be first years? Because, well, you can't be on the team if you're a first year.
Hogwarts is a big place, and while I realize that the GM has mentioned they intend on the events of the series to be happening in this, just sort of hidden away from our eyes, I have a special sort of question about it. I get that this is supposed to be maximum slice of life, but given that Hogwarts is actually quite a magical place, would it ever be possible for us to be involved in our own sort of adventures? How will things such as the House Cup and Quidditch be handled? Interfering with those could very well affect the "Main plot", and in turn have unintentional impacts on the state of the school. Logic says that a few students shouldn't have that much of an impact, but just look at the kind of trouble the main cast gets up to! It's all very interesting~! Will there ever be room for the other things that go along with daily student life? Will we be following the official schedule, or altering it to suit our needs? Will issues such as metagaming be addressed? For example, one of the ultimate secrets of Hogwarts is the Room of Requirement, and it is apparently so difficult to discover that only a couple of people have ever discovered it, and all of them by accident. Of course, a player could easily just go "I accidentally found it, yay!", but that wouldn't really be that realistic. Will there ever be room for different plots, not involved at all with the behind-the-scenes main plot that we can't interact with? So many questions!
