I'd say it was already said that this world has been re-imagined for our group of roleplayers. 

But yeaaaaaaaah. I'll let it drop for now until GM comes back with some answers for us. 
It's not a big deal for me either- I just hate to see people's ideas get turned down for obscure reasons.

To add on to your edit- We can't be too sure of that considering the roleplay hasn't started yet.
GM could have some tricks up their sleeves that puts this in a totally different path- but hey, I can't tell the future.[/i]
