As the night sky rose up over the city of Haven Marine, everything seemed peaceful, with a picturesque view found in paintings. Night and day seemed to offer completely different views of the town, as it rest in the quiet state of Michigan. Though, it did not mean that trouble was not brewing. You see, everyone in this town would tell you that this was a calm and nice place to live in, that everything was normal and living here was a dream. It was true, but as more and more people talk about odd sightings, it becomes quite questionable - creatures of legends bobbing out of the lake; giant snake tails moving over trees, slithering away; bloodcurdling creatures that seem to have large bat wings in the night sky; and strange lights coming from lakes near the town. Before all of this, you would hear mysterious rumours here and there, but lately things had gotten stranger and stranger. Rumours which begin with unusual sightings that seem to correlate to missing people. Reports of bloody crimes which make little to no sense at all. Revelations of unknown, gruesome attacks and disappearances over the years... chaos was brewing, but the people of Haven Marine thought of it as something that will pass, scared of what would happen if they were to investigate... Though not everyone was scared. One man knew there was more to this than simple cult-like killings... but he knew how if he was to uncover everything, he would need more than just a reverend of the local church. Under a church that he had rented, the man had been preparing, researching, and training. He knew what had to be done. There was so much to do, and very little he could do himself. There was no easy-fix - not for a world on such a scale. As day light rose over the town countless times, things settled back into the norm. Yet, trouble was still lurking over town. People went back to their normal jobs and hobbies, thinking that everything would go back to normal, though deep down, they were afraid of being next. Fear had settled into the town. The man knew he had to act quickly, peering under the window of the church's basement... This is where we come in. You may be a citizen of Haven Marine, though unknown to the people around you, you are actually different. You are not a simple human if you are able to use magic, let alone if you know how different you are compared to humans. An adventure? You'd consider Haven Marine to be the adventure. You may be able to blend in with the humans, drinking your beers and working at the local mine. But, frankly, adventure is more than a town, and certainly more than one world. You are in the shadow of two worlds. Be thankful you're still alive to see the world burn, because you're the one who will put the fire out.
1.) If someone made you mad, please resolve the issue via PM, not the OOC
Races: Demonic Creatures Creatures from the plane called 'Hell' by humans. Due to the fiery nature of the place, they are resistant to, if not immune to fire (as well as darkness), and weak to ice and holy magic. They are often red or black in coloration and can usually control the elements of fire and darkness. Demonic creatures often have scales, and are also usually considered ugly.
The stereotypical, semi-humanoid demon which seems to be the most common of them. They are usually somewhat tall compared to humans. Demons also have scales on their arms and legs, as well as clawed hands and feet. Male demons typically have horns on their head, whereas the females, often referred to as 'succubi', do not. Demons often possess the power to disguise themselves as humans even without possessing someone... not that they never do that of course. Interestingly, some, but not all demons have a tail. All demons, however, have batlike wings which are somewhat small, yet still allow for flight... they aren't very good fliers.

The wyverns are reptilian creatures who look similar to popular western depictions of dragons, save for the fact that their wings are their forelimbs instead of on their back. As such, they lack either a second pair of legs, or arms. Most wyverns like to call themselves dragons, considering the fact that actual dragons that actually match said depictions do not exist. They are actually quite small for what some people might be expecting, standing at anywhere from 5~8 feet (1.52~2.43 meters) tall, with a wingspan typically equal to double their height, and a tail to just about match said height. They are not only great fliers, but are also naturally adept at using magic... however, they are typically somewhat frail.

They are the only demons that 1.) are man-made 2.) don't live or even exist in Hell and 3.) fight demons constantly. These stone-based creatures were originally made to defend castles, random buildings, and churches alike from demons as well as whatever thieves might intrude. These stone-grey creatures are just barely able to fly, are whatever size their creator made them to be, and are resistant if not immune to fire, darkness, earth, and wind magic. Their stone scales (that is, once they're living and no longer in statue form) deflect most sword attacks, but do absolutely nothing against the likes of hammers, maces, and other blunt weapons. They are very good at defending against magic, but aren't the most agile creatures. Their forms can vary anywhere from 'man with slightly ugly face with wings' to 'basically a stone dragon'. They are also the only demonic race that's actually allied with the angels.

Basilisks are strange snake demons that used to be thought to be capable of killing someone with looks alone... this was proven to be false by one brave demon hunter who decided to just kill the thing as if it were any other demon. It does, however, inject lava in place of poison from its bite, which may or may not be more dangerous. Basilisks can apparently manipulate objects using magic as if they had hands to grab them, and have proven to be smarter than people once thought, as they are capable (much like the other demons on this list) of using technology by doing this. Oddly enough, basilisks can occasionally have more than one head, and usually the two or more heads are capable of using one element of magic each. Thankfully, the only eight-headed basilisk was recently killed, and another will most likely never happen. They can be anywhere from 10~25 feet (3.04~7.61 meters) in length.
Earthly Creatures These creatures tend to be half human, with an obvious animal and human part to them. They are typically capable of using, and resistant to earth and wind magic, however, it's not entirely uncommon for a creature of this description to use any of the other elements. They may be weak to either fire or ice, but aren't usually weak to or resistant to holy or dark magic.
I shouldn't have to put a physical description here. Humans are clearly the dominant species of the planet Earth. They are, as a whole, neutral towards demons and angels, but only due to the fact that there are so many of them, and so many differing opinions. Humans can be good at whatever the heck they train at, be it armor, magic, swords, ranged weapons such as guns or bows (which, given the setting, are outdated, same with swords and armor). Most humans are actually completely unaware of the other intelligent species, including the other earthly creatures (obviously, just the ones on this list...). Humans who have mastered magic have been dwindling in number until, well, that number became basically zero, and the average human nowadays doesn't even think magic is real. They are unique in that a perfectly normal human is capable of training him or her self in any element of magic, and any element of combat, even mixing and matching them, however, they aren't exactly fast runners, with most creatures outrunning them easily... that is, unless they're in a car, or other form of transportation.

Odd half-human, half-bovine creatures that used to live in elaborate mazes to protect some ancient, and priceless treasure, but have recently broken the magical ties they had to their long-dead masters, and have started roaming the world... that is, until they were nearly driven to extinction by the humans and forced to hide in some way, shape or form. They now live in large, intricate, underground tunnel systems, though, a few who have mastered the ability to disguise themselves have been able to stay on the surface. Minotaurs typically have more than enough physical strength, and an oddly tough skin. Though many of them would prefer to gore their enemies with their giant horns (at least the males... the females lack horns), a few of them are actually more proficient at using magic, instead. Most of them carry around a giant, heavy hammer or axe, which will traditionally be passed down to the first-born son at about the age of fifteen... an odd tradition that continues on today. They are very resistant to earth and wind magic due to their weight, but, due to their flammable fur, are typically weak to fire. They tend to stand anywhere from 6~7.5 feet (1.82~2.28 meters) tall.

Strange creatures who look human from the waist up, and are a snake from that point down. They are very fast creatures who seem to be somewhat adept at using earth magic, though, they typically focus on the poisoning aspect of it. They were once thought to be demons simply due to their scales and the fact that they resist fire, and generally act aggressively towards humans, however, this classification was proven wrong once someone decided to use holy magic on one. They can be anywhere from 5~7 feet (1.52~2.13 meters) long from head to tail. They never disguised themselves, simply opting to hide from humans, typically in swamps or in temples, or rainforests that haven't seen a human for hundreds of years. The rare times that they are found are typically by people who study paranormal creatures, and usually ends in one of the two killing the other. They are typically weak to ice and wind magic

Creatures that are a strange mix between a human and some sort of bird. These oddities seem to be humans with their limbs replaced with bird limbs, resulting in them having wings in place of hands and bird legs and talons in place of legs and feet... they also have a very birdlike tail. They are excellent fliers, and can attack at the blink of an eye, however, they're even more frail than wyverns, and aren't really all that great at using magic. They are either giant birds, or small humans measuring anywhere from 2~3 feet (0.60~0.91 meters) tall with a wingspan that is usually about double their height. As they lack hands, they typically rely on their talons to attack, save for those who actually can cast some wind spells. Those who can use magic, typically use wind spells, which they also typically resist, and with their feathers providing insulation, they also resist ice magic, as well. They are typically somewhat weak to earth magic, that is, if it can hit them, and their feathers are flammable, leaving the average harpy vulnerable to fire.

About the size of a large leopard, the Soloxial looks like a fox which usually have their body covered with white fur. They are known for their high speeds as well as their strong ability to use light magic. The ears on their heads are as big as those of a rabbit, able to ear the faintest sound from a distance. They are rare to be seen near human populated area's, preferring being alone out in forests up north, able to blend in well with the snow. Some of them though, with their curious nature, try to live life with the human population, but most of them end up back to the wilds, preferring the calm because of their large ears. They are not hostile to humans, but prefer to stay away from them. Because of this not a lot of humans saw them, and when they did, it was only for a quarter of a second, with their ability to blind a target with their light. Unfortunately for them, they are weak to fire, their fur not taking the heat well. Electricity also is able to destabilize their powers for a couple of seconds.

Elementals are creatures, mainly humanoid creatures. They can be technically demonic, earthly, and holy, but for this we'll just consider them earthly with a broad range. They are made up from one or two elements. One element would make that element strong, two elements would be a medium-weak version of both elements. They really don't have any specific gender, as they are made up from elements, and they also are weak to whatever element(s) counter its main element(s). Because of it's lack of organs, it has no need to sleep, but can be put into a stasis mode, either by their creators, or if they lose enough energy. They do not reproduce, they are created through a strong force of one element, mixed with a bit of it's creator's intelligence. It feeds off of its main element, and when it feeds it gains energy that makes it's power stronger, though if the elemental is not prepared for the new energy, it might go out of control. A main element is either it's only element, or it's primary element if it's made from two elements. Instead of a heart, each elemental has a core that is slightly more vulnerable then its other parts of it's body.
Angelic Creatures Holy creatures which are typically feathered, usually in control of holy magic and ice magic, and who live in the plane known as 'Heaven'. These creatures aren't typically hunted down, and are often ignored by humans... as in, they won't try to attack them. They are typically a white or golden color.
The most common angelic creature, bar none. These creatures are physically very similar to a human... that is, if a human sprouted wings on his back. The feathers on an angel's wings are usually either white, or gold, and said wings are larger proportionally than a demon's wings, but not as large proportionally as a harpy's, making them average fliers. They can't seem to hold much in flight, however, and they often travel light as a result of this. Rarely will you see an angel with a huge, or heavy weapon, and rarely will you see an angel outside of heaven, as they see themselves as the defenders of their realm. They are usually pretty decent at using magic, and often specialize in ice and or holy magic, with those who use other magic rare, but not unheard of. They have the same height range that humans do, and have the same range of skin and eye colors, as well.

Creatures originally created by angels as pets. They eventually grew smart enough to tell that they should probably be treated more fairly, and are now considered equals... though, it wasn't that easy, and was decided with a civil war. These creatures seem to be part feline and part avian, with a wide range of colors and patterns which mimic various birds and felines that exist on earth... though, their fur and or feathers may also be either gold or white like most angelic creatures. Their front half is the bird half, with the accompanying limbs also being bird talons, and the rear half is that of a feline, with paws to match. Their wings, which are situated on their back, are somewhat small proportionally, and they are, thus, not very good fliers. They stand (or would, if they got on their hind feet) at 6~9 feet (1.82~2.74 meters) tall. They are usually very powerful, and often quite agile on the ground. Those who use magic typically use the usual ice or holy magic, as per usual for angelic creatures, they are also usually weak against fire and darkness.

Birds of fire who were once considered very rare earthly creatures... that is, until someone actually found out that they nest and mostly live in heaven. They are unique in that they aren't weak against fire, and often use that element, themselves. Phoenixes of different elements, including ice and holy exist, but aren't nearly as common as fire-using phoenixes. Phoenixes are the only angelic creature that often leaves heaven, and, of course, that may lead to someone finding them if they didn't usually hide themselves as an ordinary bird. As they lack arms, they can't use weapons, and rely on their talons when they can't or don't use magic. They are typically 3~3.5 feet (0.91~1.06 meters) tall, and their wingspan is usually about one and a half times as large as that, they are also great fliers. Their tail feathers typically measure about 1 foot (0.30 meters) long for males, and six inches long (0.15 meters) for females. Phoenixes are usually very skilled at using magic, but, much like wyverns aren't exactly sturdy. Their colors are also strange in that they're probably the only angelic creature whose usual color is red, rather than white or gold... of course, they CAN be either white or gold, but the most common color is red.

Very large birds who seem to be the physical counterpart to phoenixes, and aren't nearly as commonly seen on earth as they are. While phoenixes typically look somewhat swan-like, rocs often look very hawk-like, and the difference between the two is basically night and day. The rocs have the same elemental weaknesses and strengths as a typical angelic creature, and are oddly sturdy for how well they fly. Rocs can be anywhere from 4~6 feet (1.21~1.82 meters) tall, and their wingspan is proportionally large compared to their size. As they are heavier than phoenixes, they actually rely on air currents to keep them aloft, much like a large bird of prey does, and much like you'd expect from a bird of this size, its talons are incredibly strong. Rocs, given that they usually don't use magic, rely on their talons for combat, and, of course, their talons are usually more than capable of crushing or slicing up a typical demon. They are, however, oddly vulnerable to magic.
Application
Name: (You have to have one of these, right?)
