We were not aware of this information, Ink Blood, thus I am thankful you provided it. It will be of great help to anyone, who wants to make a Gorgon character. I do wonder what Brand means by "remember". I believe this role-play existed before, but was it under Brand or was it originally by someone else? Bing, if you give a proper explanation in your character's biography as to how they learned about the Dark Arts, I think it will be ok. Use your own imagination, I suppose. Brand has allowed us a relatively big amount of freedom in creating our characters. If you ask me, your character would have to have a similar history to Ink Blood's, with becoming a necromancer and all, or you can think up something trickier, like your character discovering a secret chamber deep within the swamps after escaping an attack from necromancers, who seemed to badly want to seize the area under their control, and within that chamber they find a book on the art of illusion. They smuggle it out and return to lord Briar, to whom they offer a chance for a comeback in the war. However, it takes your character time to learn the magic and by the time they have, the war has ended. How does that sound? It's a sketchy idea, but I think it can offer you some inspirations.
