Name: Haven Age/Race/Gender: 16/female/human Appearance: [img=http://mydailyartdisplay.files.wordpress.com/2013/12/the-young-shepherdess-by-bouguereau-1885.jpg] Her long unruly black hair is usually kept tied into a braid. She is a thin lithe thing with pale skin and black eyes. Always barefoot, but otherwise keeps herself clean and tidy. Other: Armor/Clothing: Draped in old cloths that were left at the tavern or thrown away by various guests. Haven has hemmed and taken in the frocks to fit herself. She rarely wears shoes. Weapons: She has a sling that she keeps at her side when she goes into the wood, and keeps a handful of stones in her pocket. She also carries two knives when she leaves the tavern, one large and one small and curved (the smaller is for gathering herbs she might find the larger blade for trouble she might find). Other Items: She has a collection of herbs, mixtures, tonics and tinctures. Disinfectants, anti-fungal, for head aches, and other minor ailments. Skills: Herbalism, Gathering, Forestry: She knows her way around the forest, and knows it's plants and their various uses. Travelers with headache or heartache can order one of her special teas tonics, or tinctures to lessen the pain. Nimble: What she lacks in physical strength she makes up for with speed of foot, especially in the wood she moves swiftly through the brambles and uneven terrain, she is hard to catch. Slingshot: She is good with a sling, and with a small rock can catch or kill small game such as hare and sometimes even foul. Abilities: Nothing seemingly out of the ordinary, though, some visitors swear that her tonics and brews work so fast they must work by magic! Personality: Haven is accommodating and friendly, while quiet and introverted. Her keen dark eyes miss little, and her large smiling mouth says less. Either by her nature or by her job-training she is always on hand and willing to assist travelers. She is young and inexperienced, unworldly, and perhaps a bit foolish. History: Haven showed up at the Faintly Gallows three years ago. It was during a storm, she was dragged in by a traveler who found her on the road, pale and sick. When they warmed her she wouldn't (or couldn't) speak, and refused to wear shoes. But, she proved she could make herself useful. She started by washing dishes and cleaning, then serving, then other menial tasks to help 'pay' for her stay while she had been sick. She showed no interest in leaving, and no one came looking for her, so she continued to work at the Gallows. Regular visitors are now accustomed to Haven and her quiet warm smile.
