Glancing towards Shork, he gave a nod, "I'll check out you and the others." He returned to glancing at the wound, examining the damage that was done to the man in question. He spoke up again, though he focused on the most injured patient. "Guardsman Ferris said the same thing, before he headed off to continue his patrol. We all have our part to play for the community." He took a moment to be check on the size of the chest wound. Oh yes, it was a nasty series of claw marks that punctured the wound, that was covered with blood, but not nearly as much as he expected, it was as if someone, probably Shork cleaned up the wound. Nonetheless the blood that was still there was, as if it was an overflowing mug of ale. Elric quickly produced his scalpel as he tore through the man's bloodied, as the stitches that held it together snapped apart. Now then, I can truly get to work. Elric thought, persisting through the pain he felt, as he knew he had to save this man. Tossing away the torn parts of the tunic with his free hand, he glanced at the wound again, taking great care in observing the patient's lungs. Fortunately, the lungs themselves didn't appeared to be cut into, or any other internal organs. He checked for any traces of shrapnel that was in the body, and didn't happen to find any. He pressed down onto the wound hard, in order to help keep the man from bleeding any further, and more importantly to help get any excess air from the body out. He took out his needle and quickly placed the thread within it as he began sowing up. As he was doing his work, "If you find any others who are injured, bring them back here." he mentioned to Shork. Elric continued back to his task.
