They reached Riley's home about fifteen minutes later. Everything happened so fast. Her mom agreed to let Alex stay for awhile, as did her father, and they set him up a room in the spare bedroom. The following week they went to enroll him in school, the same school Riley went to. A couple weeks later, Riley's mom brought up the idea for Alex to just live with them, after not having found anything out about his family. TWO MONTHS LATER Riley did not feel like getting up and getting ready for school that morning. She had to stay up later all night cramming for a big English exam she had that day. She didn't both taking a shower, but just pulled her hair up in a messy bun and wore skinny jeans with a cream colored sweater and brown boots. It was mid-winter, so the weather outside was nippy, but other then a crappy school year, everything at home seemed to be going good. Alex was adjusting okay to everything, and school. Once she was ready, she skipped downstairs and grabbed a banana. "Morning, Mom, Morning, Dad." She said, smiling. "Is Alex up yet?" She asked, pouring herself a glass of orange juice. "I'm not sure. Alex!" Riley's mom called from the bottom of the stairs.
