Vlad studied Cassandra with his empty eyes. He had no hestitation about seriously hurting her. He hurt people all the time. Still he needed her to be able to perform. He patted her arm lovingly. "You are a confusing child Cassandra. You say that you care for the others but you for e me to hurt the others in your place. Your the opposite of my pet. You have made your position clear. If I want you to do what I want I have to hurt those you wish to protect." 

He took the knife and made deep cuts an her joints. He knew that cutting her knees, elbows and others bending parts would cause her pain whenever she moved. Once he was done with that he went over to Adalina. "Thank Cassandra for your punishment."
