Even in modern/today society music like that isn't frowned on anymore.
With Madoka Magica being more advanced I really don't see anyone having issues regarding playing music.

Even then, when you sign the contract you are signing your life away to be dedicated to fighting wishes. Such a big commitment should be done over something bigger than a hobby.
