Basic Information Name: Ayumu Nakamoto Nickname/Alias/Etc: Ayu, Klepto Gender: Male Age: 17 Height: 5'6” Weight: 147 lbs Status: New student Appearance Hair Color: Dark brown Eye Color: Black Ethnicity: Japanese Physical Appearance: Ayu is shorter than most guys his age and lanky like he still hasn’t grown into his body yet. Most of the strength he has is in his lower body and legs. Clumsy at times, he’s got a lot of old scrapes and scratches on his arms and knees from falling down. He doesn't have very broad shoulders, his arms are not muscular, and neither does he really have abs to kill for, but he makes up for his upper body flaws with his lower body advantages such as lean legs and strong calf muscles. He has a round face with a small forehead covered by his bangs. His hair is of medium length and unruly. His eyes are narrow and mono-lidded; his nose is straight and narrow. He has a small mouth and thin lips. Ayu’s skin, since he is Japanese, is pale with a yellow-tint; it is not imperfection free from old scars and scratches. He doesn't have as many common teenage problems with acne since he keeps a strick hygenic routine from the pestering of his adopted family. Overall though, he looks like a child in a teenager’s body. His features are soft and rounded, still childish even though he’s seventeen, and not seven. Attire: He tends to prefer preppy clothes and formal outfits. He always wears a large gray coat with the many pockets as well. Personality Outward & Innate Personality: Ayu smirks a lot. He’s charming and mischievous, but that’s only helpful so he can steal somebody’s bracelet. He makes a great first impression with everyone he meets; that is, until they realized that he just took all their jewelry. Around people, he likes to act like he’s a magician or street performer. Stealing their attention, calling it away to see only on him, narrowing that line of focus to what he wants them to notice. That’s how he manages to take things from people. Ayu’s been diagnosed with ADHD of the Predominantly Inattentive Presentation, and it shows in his personality. He’s easily distracted and attracted to shimmering things of high worth, much like a magpie. He’s forgetful and doesn't pay attention to the details of things. The people he’s interacted with in his daily life tend to hate the fact that he will ignore them when they speak to him and doesn't follow instructions. He is very disorganized to the point that he’ll lose things that he was only holding five minutes ago and does what he wants. By himself, he is a rather dorky kid as he is rather flighty and distracted easily. He flails about and hops around to a very immature degree. Hobbies/Interests: He’s interested in multiple things, but he tends to drop them as quickly as he finds them. The only hobby that’s stuck with him so far is playing string instruments. Skills/Talents: From his years in the ghetto, he has perfected his running abilities to get him out of problematic situations. He is a firm believer in running away when he encounters a problem he can't solve. He is good at turning up the charm (the childlike wonder type), and gets along with people he will never see again. Prized Possession: A large gray coat he has that has many small pockets. Quote(s): “Can I have this?” History/Bio: Ayu was taken in by the Baines family after he got caught stealing a man’s watch in the middle of a crowded street. The only reason he was caught was because he got distracted and tripped, giving his pursuers the chance to catch him. His parents, Osamu and Matsuyo Nakamoto, were immigrants that came to the wrong neighborhood and couldn’t adapt to the ghetto as their ten year old son could. Eventually they were simply killed, not that their son knew that. Ayu lived due to the kind people next door who took him in after checking on him. While he knew that his parents weren’t there, it simply didn’t hit him as he’d expected. He didn’t cry out, but neither was he apathetic. They were average parents and it didn’t click together in his ten year old mind that they were gone. Two years after being taken in by his neighbors, who never really told him their names, Ayu continued to take whatever was his fancy. He learned how to do tricks with just an old card deck and a charming smile. He stole things with a power he had since he came to America. He could make a pocket dimension and put everything he needed in there. After getting caught stealing a man’s watch at twelve years old, Social Services figured out his lack of parents and shipped him off to the only foster family who wanted to deal with him. The Baines household who already took in two other kids. When Ayu came to the Baines house, he was attracted to all the expensive things inside. Without thinking about the fact that his new family was watching, he picked up a charm bracelet on the table and shoved it into his pocket dimension via his actual coat pockets. Olivia was very unimpressed and told him to put it back; he pulled his pocket inside out and nothing was in it. After some studying, they realized he could create entrances into his dimensional storage anywhere he wanted since it all just ended up in the same place. So Ayu grew up with his dimensional storage powers in the family he grew to like. They didn’t mind the fact that he kept taking their things and only scolded him when he took other people’s things. He began showing symptoms of ADHD and was diagnosed with it a few months after he was adopted into the family. He became fast friends with Sheryl as she was quite useful in his stealing endeavors since she could replicate the object he just stole and nobody would notice. Noah and Olivia encouraged the friendship since this way wasn’t hurting anybody and still let him steal things. Ayu is going to Academy 218 because he can’t control his impulse to steal things and his dimensional storage powers are only helping him. He is the only one that really has to go since his parents are exasperated at the fact that he won’t stop taking the accessories from the girls at school. They also want him to have more friends. Much to his liking, they’re also making the rest of his siblings accompany him. He can open up the entrances to his dimension wherever he wants and close them at will. He can put items into what is, essentially, a separate dimension for safe keeping and bring them back with ease. His pocket dimension is essentially a small room that he accesses. The dimension isn't a large one, nor is it a tiny one that follows him around, but rather it's a separate room-like dimension. This would mean, all the items he gathers is just in a limited area dimension that only he has the proverbial 'key' to. Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: Ayu can’t put living beings in his pocket dimension. Neither can he put anything larger or heavier than himself in there. If he tries to do that, it will strain him, as if he was carrying it himself. The dimension is only so large and if he were to max out the space, he can't put anything in there until he takes things out. His dimensional storage is not his own dimension that he can just step into for safety or something, it is just a one-room dimension that cannot hold living beings.
