Sure, poison, bows, and daggers can get through little chinks and joints of the armor, but without armor, said weapons don't need to bother finding the weak points. So armor makes the job of poisons, bows, and daggers just a bit more difficult. Of course, armor is also typically cumbersome and heavy, unless properly fitted. Which is why Emil uses protection magic
