As she embraced him tightly Alex also placed his arms around her, the hung around her lower back, loosely. He listened to her frantically explaining herself before he moved his hands up to her shoulders. Adjusting her so that they were looking at each other, shaking his head slowly from side to side for a moment he looked at her with a wide smile and told her, "You've got nothing to be sorry about. I don't have to forgive you for anything." It was all water under the bridge as far as Alex was concerned. After all, he was the cause of this whole mess. "I'm here and I'm not going anywhere." Alex took a step back, "Not anytime soon at least." he added. "Sure, Korean is good." Alex told her as she began to dial the number to the restaurant. He took out his wallet and left in cash the price of both meals hidden under a lamp sitting on a small end-table while Riley wasn't looking. He'd text her about it later. "Twenty-five minutes." Alex's stomach rumbled, he was actually pretty hungry after all. "Good." He told her with a smile once she turned around to set her phone down the smile instantly dropped from his face. Alex sat down next to Riley on the edge of the bed, his rear sinking into the mattress. "How can you sleep on this?" He asked, prodding behind him with his hands. He had always preferred a firm mattress, something with a bit of spring rather than something you could sink into. He could see the appeal but failed to understand it.
