We've been doing this thread off and on for 8 years or so, so there is a very rich lore to it that makes it very intriguing. You would take the role of a trainer (most likely on their Rites) with a companion creature. However, often your companion won't fight alone as trainers have access to magic and weapons to fight directly alongside.
