As Kuhaku entered the main building of the school, he paused and took a second to take in his surroundings. Satisfied after taking in the sights, he reached into his pocket and pulled out his issued Scroll. Pressing the gold diamond button, he opened it and browsed the email that was sent to the new students en masse. Within it detailed an upcoming student address from the Headmaster Ozpin along with a map, directions, and other useful information. The address wasn't for another few hours. Looking up from the screen of his Scroll, he thought for a moment. With his room not having been assigned yet and no belongings to secure in the locker room, there wasn't much else for Kuhaku to do. Perhaps he could lock up his weapons in Beacon's armory, but he didn't want to part with them just yet. It was then that he noticed a group of students all heading in the same direction. Curious as to where they were going and knowing that the address wasn't for some time, he looked at the map of Beacon that was on his Scroll. They were all heading in the direction of the cafeteria. Thinking about it, the flight had been long and tiresome and he hadn't eaten since before he boarded the airship leading to Beacon. With nothing else to really do, he figured it would be wise to at least get a snack or drink. Quickly memorizing the directions on his Scroll, he closed it and pocketed it. Walking normally with his arms by his side instead of crossing them as usual, he passed by a pair of female students standing around talking about their weapons. Pausing, he eavesdropped for a few seconds. Though he didn't much like the people using the weapons, Kuhaku was fascinated with technology and weapons. Some students had boring and plain weapons, those he paid no mind to. The creative weapons were the ones that he couldn't resist eying, wishing to know more. "I was never good enough to forge guns, but I like to use dust in more raw form anyway." the girl said. Kuhaku sniffed at the air once. She was a Faunus. His interest grew as he stood, listening and watching. Careful not to give himself away, he saw as she pulled out what looked like a wand embedded with Dust crystals. The female Faunus then revealed its hidden blade, the wand changing into a thin sword. Interesting. "I call it the Swansong. It's nothing fancy, but I'd never trade it." she explained. It wasn't the most super creative weapon he'd seen, but he still approved of it. Kuhaku turned to see another rather large male student approach the two talking females. "Just overheard, but it's an interesting name for a weapon, Swansong. By the way, are you two heading to the cafeteria for dinner?" The boy had it twisted, it would be around the time for lunch, not dinner. Was he from a foreign, distant land? He smelled like it. Anyways, it was time for Kuhaku to leave, his curiosity satisfied. Turning, he left before the other students could notice him and say anything to him. He already had to deal with one talkative and nosy student. He didn't have the energy to deal with three more of them. Uncomfortable with his arms dangling by his side as he walked to the school cafeteria, he crossed them again. His black scarf and tail gracefully swaying behind him as he moved.
