In game, about a month has gone by. As far as what has been going on...

A mysterious serial killer known only as "Nightmare" has been terrorizing the city, striking every few days, and bringing the secret organization STRIKE into the light of day.

Children have been vanishing throughout the city, apparently abducted, with no signs of entry into the home.

Then all hell broke loose...

Someone decided to open a portal to Hell, unleashing a massive amount of demons into the city, killing hundreds. The portal was only closed when Iron Knight, Archangel, Radiance, Vigilante, Lyger, War-Pulse, and Icon joined forces to end it.
