As an extension: Perhaps simply let users create extra tabs? I know at least two RPs that'd vastly benefit from a "world encyclopedia" tab (since the opening post is bound to run out of space sooner and later, and it is inconvenient to create separate threads for that). 

 - By the way, is there character limit in post? If there is, then it should be [b]at least[/b] 100'000 characters, preferably more. I personally have made single-character posts exceeding 50'000 lettermarks in the past, and I know others who have pulled off the same... A world-info compendium of a RP I participated had 592'128 characters total...
