Toma Tanaka - Wakamura High, Main Entrance The whole moving deal had taken a lot more out of Toma than the boy had originally realized. As he moved through the crowd, a tree in the distance caught his eye, for no reason in particular. He stared at it dully, spacing out. It took a collision with another person to bring him back awake, and even then, he reacted slowly. His eyes moved to the girl he had run into. He saw her snatch a piece of paper out of the air, which he had presumably caused her to drop. Before he could say anything, she bowed and apologized. This took Toma by surprise, moreso than the collision itself. In his old city, he would have likely just received a dirty look, before being brushed off without a second thought. He couldn't help but let out a small laugh before saying "I'm the one who should be sorry. I'm sort of going the wrong way, after all. You all right?" He then eyed the paper she held in her hand, curious. "Nice catch, by the way." he said with an easy smile, nodding towards the paper. "Where'd you pick those reflexes up?" His mother would have scolded him for trying to make conversation, especially with someone who looked like they had things to do. She would have said something along the lines of "She didn't run into you because she wanted to chitchat, she ran into you by mistake. Say you're sorry and let her be on her way." But he wanted to get to know the people he'd be surrounded by for the next year, and it was best to start doing that sooner rather than later.
