When one is in need to unbiased advice or a 'reasonable' opinion Ellia is a good friend to turn to. It is best to say that Ellia has two faces. Her friendly face and her business face. Friendly Ellia is straightforward girl who loves music and live performances. She has a dabbled in music herself, but it is the only thing she is shy about. Other wise Ellia is a rather open girl who enjoys being with other friendly faces and giving aid and advice when she can. Then there is business Ellia. Very formal and stern. Far less likely to budge or compromise, when in a business situation Ellia prefers to be playing the beat everyone is matching to rather than having to be the one following all the rules. To this end Ellia is very money minded. Always looking for a way to earn a buck or save a buck. When it comes to this can be as ruthless in fiances as she can be in battle. That being said Ellia has a very strict standard of 'Fair'. She does not do underhanded work or tricks for even money. If something doesn't seem 'fair' to Ellia she will not participate in it. That being said; 'Fair' does go both ways sometimes. While something may be 'Just' if Ellia feels it is 'Unfair' there is a strong chance she will oppose it. This applies both to 'Normal' Ellia and 'Business' Ellia. It likely explains her affinity for the magic she uses, as she describes it as 'A fair way to fight; turning what is given back to the giver'. History: Ellia Had a fairly normal life growing up, all things considered. Mother was a merchant, always traveling and doing business around the world, Father was the accountant for the company back at their headquarters in a decently large Fioro port city. She grow up being raised mostly by her father, who stayed at home tending the books and finances of the company while her mother went around doing the more active jobs of running the trade enterprise. She, like her father had a gift for numbers and calculation, and spent a great deal of time being something of an assistant to him. She had a bit of magic in her as well though it was not very practiced as her parents were more interested in developing her business and intellectual talents. While she didn't have to much of a problem with that, given she did enjoy working with numbers or reading on cultures and such, she didn't want to simple let her magic gift wither. She didn't know really what exactly to do with her magic really, but it was enough for the young girl to want to practice and improve if just a little bit. To that end she ended up bringing some local mage guild children and they swiftly became her closest friends. She spend much of her free time with them at their parents guild hall, practicing magic with them, enjoying their company and hearing the fantastical stories from the adult mages of the guild. It was something of a fantastical break from her more mundane real world studies. Over the years the members of that guild became a second family to her, their children became more like brothers and sisters than just good friends. When she was just 14 she was going to join to see them after a long session of studies one night. As the Guild Hall came into view she saw several hooded figures rushing away from the building and they quickly disappeared into the shadows of early night. She noted something odd, the light of early night stars blinking in and out of sight above the guild. It wasn't till she got closer and could distinguish the smoke from the dark night sky did she realize the inside of the guild was on fire. She rushed in to find a blazing inferno consuming the interior of the guild. She found that inside many of the guild members lay already dead or wounded by violent injuries sustained in some kind of fight. She could even see the figures of her friends in the smoke and fire. The blaze was to intense for her to venture deep into the guild she rushed our to summon help to deal with the fire and hopefully save lives. Her actions were only swift enough for the locals to keep the neighboring buildings from catching as well and starting a fire that could have damaged more of the city. The guild was reduced to ashes one and all. She learned that the guild had gotten in a habit of getting in the way of the operations of a supposed Darkguild that operated in the area. They suspected that the Dark Guild in question got tired of the interfering nature and took action. Hunter Guild reps came soon after, question her as the only witness to the crime. Wither her testimony of what she saw, they could easily conclude that this wasn't an unfortunate accident and began to take proper action to deal with the dark guild. They promised her revenge and peace for the fallen guild members, and they delivered in spades. The terrible loss of all those good people and close friends, as well as the success of the Hunter Guild in bringing justice to the villains behind it inspired her to devote more time to her magic studies with the goal of becoming a hunter herself. Facts and figures were pleasant and all, and she certainly didn't need to do that full time. She had found what she wanted to use her magic for. To repay the violence of the wicked back on them. While true masters of the magic can do fantastic feats such as absorb and control great deals of force with their own bodies while taking no damage Ellia is far from that. Her, like most users of the magic, work through a focus. She uses a staff as a medium to interact with the kinetic forces she encounters. At her current level of skill she is much more of a supporting and defensive mage than a proper fighter. You may wonder what exactly her magic can interact with and effect. It's a simple answer really, Anything with Mass and density. Things with low mass or low density are difficult to effect ( like water for example ) things with none or next to no density can't be effected (Fireballs for example ). Her magic is best employed at dealing with the physical threats she may encounter. Signature Spells: You start with five spells. Ricochet Radar: By tapping her staff against the ground she can send ripples of magically charged kinetic force about her in all directions much like a form of echolocation, It allows her to get a sense an area and even allows her to map out a zone in about a 1/4th of a squar mile area around her. Disperse: Ellia Focuses a field of anti-kentetic energy about her, that will absorbe some of the kentic energy of any object that passes through it, as if the object was passing through a nearly solid patch of air. Punches will with no force, arrows go from lethal to dangerous. Ect. She can't yet extend the field more than 3 feet from her staff in all directions of it, but she can set it up and leave her staff holding the unseen field as a trap or surprise defense. Absorb: By taking a blow on her staff, she can absorb its energy, robbing strikes of some of their threat but also storing the power for other uses. Redirect: A quick counter spell that only works on one object at a time. She turns the kinetic force of a blow or projectile back on itself so it flies back to where it came. Re-enforce: By using stored power she has taken from using the Absorb spell she can give objects or people an aura of kinetic armor to defend them. Skills: Ellia is good with numbers and calculations, She actually does some part time accounting jobs when she's not doing guild jobs.
