Karnstein Of course Charlotte had given in eventually; carrying on her little charade too long would set the world's most naive hero on a path where he was causing trouble for the whole town. Apparently, though, the man wasn't terribly well-versed in magic... which probably explained why he had totally failed to work out what she was. By appearances, he was also totally lacking in pop-cultural knowledge of any sort. Really, to not spot a vampire in the midst of feeding? Her observation of the events below was interrupted by the sight of an incoming projectile. Not a bullet, which was good news for an unaware Charlotte, but rather a grenade of some description. It was certainly a better thing to be headed in the witch's direction: with the blonde watching from above, Blackhawk's smoke grenade was lightly tapped from beneath and went soaring far over its intended target. The soldier herself, however, was now being searched for by a vampire making no attempts to conceal herself and cheerfully perching on the very edge of a roof.
