Graham and Baker whom had been talking to each other had gotten to know each other well up until this point. Graham Aker, whom had been more battle oriented, listened to Baker's thoughts on the fact that they should be trying to find more diplomatic ways to get through the situation at hand. So far all they had done was fight and fight and fight some more. However it came down to both of them disagreeing with each other. "...Why do we need to keep fighting battles that could be talked out? Surely if we could find someone willing to help us we'd be able to stop this fighting with that enemy group." Baker said to Graham who shook his head, "If only it were that simple Catherine Baker. But it isn't; these people are our enemies and will continue to be our enemies until we get the job done and defeat them. The enemy who is not put down now is an enemy who will put down an a friend, innocent, or loved one later. As much as I enjoy a good scrap I won't let an enemy of mine get away if possible. I don't like to speak for others but I'd think that woman Saturnalia in the hanger would attest to that. Her suit originally belonged to a group known as Celestial Being whom only cared about putting down war. To defend and stop war they used war in return. It born of the thinking that started what is sure to be an endless cycle that, from where I come from at least, means the death of hundreds if not thousands of people. And even if they succeeded what forced peace would work? From the way I see it is that the budding cold war between the AEU, The Union, and the Human Reformation League may have been bad but that doesn't mean that what they're (Celestial Being) doing is right either." Graham commented to Baker whom Puru stared at questioningly, "But Mr. Graham I'd say that if people are being bullies then they should be bullied in return!" Puru spouted at unsure of her words but none the less she wanted to say them. "I agree Puru, and that's why I fight the Gundams of Celestial Being aside from more personal promises made to friends regarding them, but one should not kill for the sake of stopping the killing. Take Lieutenant Lyons over there." Baker said as she pointed at him but made sure to do it discreetly less she interrupt Paul's and Jason's conversation. "Lieutenant Paul fights for the safety of Earth in itself and he does so behind a nearly world wide collaboration. Minus ORB whom stays neutral plus some other nations that refuse to join. He fights to protect people not to murder people. Just like everyone on this ship he doesn't fight for sport like others do." Baker said as Graham looked Catherine Baker dead in the eyes, "And what sparked that Union? Was it mutual understanding or was it threats from a enemy. I doubt the world would unite unless it's existence was threatened and at the end of the day it seems that Paul fights anyone who the Captain points at and says to kill." Graham counter at which Baker grabbed her seat and pulled herself forward to look at Graham closer, "Yes but it was Jason who gave him the order to do so. He'd not waste a life so hesitantly. I've seen the Captain work he is no person to throw a man's life away." She retorted at which Graham shook his head, "And who gives him orders? No one here but in your life there is always someone above you and if there isn't that means you have power. And power generally corrupts. That's why so many people refuse to work together in my world. So many politics are born of ignorance and disgust. But that's not my, your place, as a soldier question that. You follow orders Miss Baker." Graham said as suddenly Puru pulled herself into Graham's face, "Hey you're being mean to Mr. Jason!" Puru grumbled at Graham at which he pulled back and breathed in deeply, "I guess you're on the right track about Jason, Puru. He is the sort of person to rescue a complete stranger. But there are people not like him. Like it or not I know that Lieutenant Lyons would agree with me. Putting down the man before he can cause more trouble before-" Graham started before Baker stood up suddenly and glared at Aker but managed to stay relatively calm but it was clear she was angry, "And whom are you to speak for the persons on the other side of the gun? Good men and women killed every day for someone else's paycheck or to hurt others for a profit! Who are you to say they don't have people to go back to!? What about those left behind!? Who's to blam-" Baker proclaimed as suddenly Jason whistled, "Hey keep it down you two if you're going to have a war then please keep it to an inside voice." Jason commented sternly at which Baker apologized for and Doctor Wilbur looked at Graham, then to Baker and shook his head. SIGMA Team's other members were over in a corner of the room and didn't look pleased that Jason had to step in and nor did they seem to particularly enjoy Baker's ideals either. "I'm sorry Captain." Baker said as she bowed to him and Puru got up too, "Miss Baker where are you goin'?" she asked her as she left the room. "I need some air sorry for getting all worked up Graham Aker." she commented to Graham who in turn said he actually enjoyed the argument and to talk to him later so they could finish this. Baker gave no response as she left the room with Puru behind her. "What a mess this is." Paul muttered. He had mentally tuned himself off to Baker's sudden work up. "People like her just make the job more difficult sir." Paul grumbled as SIGMA team's members gave a grumble in agreement to Paul before going back to their own food. "I disagree." came Jason's voice though, "No Paul those men and women make sure we see ourselves as humans and no war machines. Remember that you're human and so it the enemy on the other side of that gun." Jason said to Paul as Paul retorted, "And they still go down like a crazed animal. I do what I must to keep people safe like Baker said but Graham's in the right too. If I don't do it then who will? Who will die because I didn't pull that trigger. I-Sorry for speaking out of turn Captain." Paul said stopping himself. He didn't need another philosophical lesson on how killing people was wrong. He knew that. He did it just for the reasons Baker listed he did it because he wanted to protect people even if it meant hurting others. Or at least that's what he told himself. That was the reason he was here originally for at the very least. "Well I'd believe it was time we proceeded to get going. Wilbur prepare yourself we're heading off to war." Jason commented as he got up. At the same time Rowan had been cleared by Com Officers Katherine WIlliams to launch back. His orders set in his heart he'd make sure he'd get his job done. Zeon was going down. And in his hand rested a set coordinates Jason had told him to go to before he had left the ship. === Timeskip: 8:30 On the Zeon Side: It had been a hell of a time getting things together and with Rowan suddenly reappearing he confessed that he wanted to get some more insight on the enemy he had been told he was going up against and that he had down a couple of their units but was unable to capture them. This news and turn of events angered Angelo to no one's surprise and he had promptly chewed out Rowan on his lack of forethought, "We're going to assume that the enemy is looking for them now." Victor said in the group conference room as he strolled around the large circular room. "Angelo and our companions here shall stay and make sure that they didn't follow us here while Miss Reve, Mr. Rowan, and I go and check out the enemies. My men and I will secure the downed enemies. If all goes right then they don't know where we're located at. Worse case they attack us both and there is nothing we can do about it now. Just Mr. Rowan please do endeavor not to make things worse." Victor said with a lack of anything short of contempt in his voice as Rowan calmly told him that he was sorry and that it wouldn't happen again. "Good." Victor retorted as he calmly let Angelo speak, "Now then comrades in arms I understand that the enemy is capable but we are more capable! We are ZEON and they are filthy scum with the tact of a toothless baby cub! We will destroy the enemy if or once they attack! SEIG ZEON! FOR FULL FRONTAL'S GLORY!" shouted Angelo with passion as his men followed in his chants as their passion rallied. If one thing was certain it was that Angelo was a leader capable of inspiring zeal in his men. For Victor's men they were all uneasy about this and young Stella stood in the corner and calmly took all of this in but if her eyes were any clue it was clear she wasn't trying to hard and looked more nervous than anything. Rowan nodded his head but spit on the floor indiscreetly but everyone in the chant was to busy to see he was. === On the OMNI Side... Paul was quickly leading up his tasked unit consisting of SIGMA, Graham, Saturnalia, Beta, and Sandrock. This strike team would be more the sufficient for this task assuming Angelo, or whom the man Rowan described as Angelo, kept to the suspected task of being a fool and trusting Rowan on his word. Hopefully the blaster scoring, coming from Raigo's own beam saber to make it look as legitimate as possible, was enough to fool anyone into believe that Rowan was still on the side of the enemy forces. Of course anyone left on the ship was either already heading out to the target zone with the remains of some destroyed Gaza's from the previous battle that were scavenged previously the day before. Paul's suit was already feeling heavy on him. He hated ambush attacks so many things could go wrong and if they lost Gabriel, Puru, and Alpha Team to the enemy...No Paul had to had faith in Grant's abilities and that of the strangers he had met not to long ago. He had no choice. Paul sat idly near his gundam with the cockpit open but he had decided not to climb in just yet. Though they were near the enemy he was going to wait for the cue from SIGMA Team's Leader that there was enemies moving out. Then he'd get in and get Raigo ready. He needed to make sure his battery didn't suck needed power from the ship. Nor did he need it to be wasted before he had so much as lifted his fingers. "Hey is everyone ready!?" Paul called out to the men in the hanger as Beta Leader's calls assured him that they were all good for the moment. "Good the sooner this is done the sooner we can go back to making sure we're safe. The sooner we do that the sooner we can get back to work on making Trinity talk." Paul commented bluntly as Beta Leader confirmed it, "Aye aye Lieutenant." he said with mock gusto. "Smart ass." Paul grumbled. === At the ambush point.... Grant sat idly with his fingers twiddling on his control stick. He and his men were stationed in their spots hidden by giant boulders in an otherwise hilly looking Indigo Plateau. The moon in the sky lit up the beautifully lit area. What was making a bit more awkward was the fact that they were supposed to rely on Mr. Big Shot Gabriel and his gundam. What had that thing shown to do? If the enemies were stronger than Glemy's men that meant that he was in real trouble. "Hey how long are you going to have those panels of yours out for they stick out!" Grant muttered over the com as Gabriel retorted sarcastically that it didn't stick out as bad as the uniquely colored armor of Grant's personal suit. "Oh bugger off dude!" Grant muttered, "Sir are you sure we're goin' to be alright?" asked one of Grant's team mates at which he sighed, "Hey we got orders we're goin' to get it done."
