"I-I'm fine, I'm perfectly fine," she responded to his look of concern as she looked away for whatever reason. Good, then. Kuhaku wouldn't have to resort to violent ways. As he backed away from the Faunus girl, he tilted his head slightly. Curiously, she kept giving him sidelong glances. Was there something wrong? Was there a bit of food left over on his face? Blinking, he looked down at himself and his hands to make sure. No, he didn't seem to have left a mess. He always had impeccable table manners. Then... what was it? The girl then cleared her throat, breaking his train of thought. Looking back up at her, he resumed his direct eye contact. "I-I'm Michelle," she introduced herself, extending an oddly trembling hand to shake. "How polite" he thought. About to reach for her hand, he stopped himself. Looking down at his menacing gauntlets, he figured it would be rude to return the lady's handshake with his weapons on. Grabbing the sides of his gauntlets, he pressed some hidden mechanism and something audibly clicked as his weapons unlocked. Removing them, he then attached them to his sides on his belt. Reaching up towards his face, he did the same for his mask. Smiling, he took her hand with his own bandaged one and gently shook it. "I'm Kuhaku. Kuhaku Kuroshi. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Michelle." He always was a sucker for manners, even if he was ironically rude most of the time to other people. Thankfully, his parents had raised him to be a gentleman towards women and to be respectful of them. So, having encountered a courteous Faunus girl, it was enough to eek out quite a lengthy response from him. He only hoped the white-haired human boy would leave them alone as they exchanged pleasantries.
