Eta Carinae, like the picture suggests, has to take on a compressed humanoid form in order to roam the other realms. It should be apparent why a Star can't emerge in its native form on one of the other planes. The Sea of Stars is the only place Eta Carinae can be a Star. However, they can compress and decompress to whatever extent they wish. If they want to be 30 meters tall and crash through the wall of a stronghold, they can, or they can compress themselves to be 5'9" and speak with a humans face to face. This ability simply relies on how they compress their energy in their Star Body. 

[b]Personality and Drive:[/b] Admonition and Grace are two halves to the whole that is the Binary Star Eta Carinae. Their very being is the representation of balance, Yin and Yang. Admonition is the masculine, he is the side that delivers cautious counsel to his subordinates in an effort to cultivate their strength. The bigger of the two and more dominant force, he is also the aspect of control, composure, and repression of the fires of his own essence so that it does not overpower his beloved Grace. He is the understanding of power and passionate drive. 
Grace is the candid and playful, an honest expression of joy. She is the feminine, the aspect of love and compassion, containing within her make the knowledge of birth and nature. Although weaker and more recessive than her brother, she is the epitome of trust, faithful that he would never overcome and consume her in his flames. 
Together they make the powerful being Eta Carinae, head of the Gemini Sigma stars, leader of the Host of Angels, and first Ascended among the powerful Firefly race. With the knowledge that Demon Hordes from the other planes may seek to whet their appetite for destruction and domination by conquering the Mortal Lands via the approaching Planar Conflux, Eta Carinae seeks to serve its role as the Great Benefactor to Human Kind and aid in its defense. 

[b]History:[/b] Early on in the expansive history of the Sea of Stars, strife and struggle were as much apart of life as equilibrium and peace. Admonition and Grace were born on the terrestrial body Eon, along with the rest of their native race, the Firefly. Humanoid, and able to ignite themselves into intense flames and even take flight among the cosmos, the Firefly were the most powerful of the various terrestrial races inhabiting Thul Ithílíá. Despite this inherent power, a rogue Star named Vehoja used his immense energy to bring the Firefly under his dominion, utilizing them to take over other terrestrial bodies governed by other Stars, while he engulfed smaller Star clusters to expand himself. He wanted to rest at the center of the Sea of Stars and subjugate the entire plane to the Flow of his Ego. It was this Ego that he utilized to take over Admonition, the most powerful of all the Firefly. Admonition was so great that he could take on a singular Star by himself without being an Ascendant. 
Oddly enough, there was only one Firefly that could resist Vehoja's control. The meek and humble girl Grace, sister of Admonition. 

Her resistance came from her access to the Ebb, or the Void, the force that was the opposite compliment to Flow, the emergent force that gave Stars and Thul Ithílíá breath. Ebb was nothing, recession, the Abyss on the outer reaches of the Sea of Stars, a concept that not even the oldest Stars understood. Mintaka, head of the Alpha Aquarius, a beautiful dark blue sequence Star, beckoned Grace for her help in defeating Vehoja so that Thul Ithílíá could once again find balance. She granted Grace the command of a Host of Angels to combat her brother and the other Firefly. However, she understood that the Angels could not defeat them. In commune with the Ebb, Grace knew what to do. 

In a decisive battle that was meant to be forfeit, Grace ordered the retreat of the Angels so that she could approach Admonition alone. She knew the only way to defeat Vehoja was to release Admonition from the clutches of the Star's Ego. A fearsome confrontation ensued among the siblings which ended with Admonition impaling his sister on the end of his blade. With her last act she implanted her own Flow within his Ebb, the spaces between his being, lurking in the edge of his subconscious. Using her influence on the inside, unbeknownst to her brother, she released him from Vehoja. 

The tragedy of being able to recognize the murder of his own sister was enough to push the capacity of his power past its limit, and it fueled his campaign of vengeance against Vehoja. In time, however, the rogue Star of Ego, at this point, had already completed his goal, resting at the center of Thul Ithílíá with the whole plane and other Star constellations under his subjugation, now calling himself God. Admonition burned with the fire equivalent to a White Dwarf when he confronted God, bringing other rebellious terrestrial beings including the whole Host of Angels to bring him down. In a battle that was said to have lasted an entire year, Admonition lost his entire battalion, being the last standing against God. From behind the scenes, and unknown to everyone, Grace was collecting the Flows of Admonition's fallen comrades from the embrace of Ebb and storing them within the body of her brother, giving him fuel to keep on burning and burning brighter. 

At the height of the battle, God became wounded and unstable, about to explode and engulf the Sea of Stars in a giant super nova that would have destroyed Admonition and himself. Admonition resigned himself to martyr, having lost his sister and the will continue, accepting his death was imminent. Grace had other plans. Within the subtle reaches of Ebb, Grace turned God's super nova against him, making him implode upon himself. Thus, the first black hole in Thul Ithílíá was born, a prison of pure Ebb trapping Vehoja and his light for all eternity. At the end of the conflict, Admonition was so full of Flow essence that he was undergoing Ascendancy, a rare spectacle where a terrestrial being acquires the means to become a Star. Clever Grace performed another miracle from Ebb as Admonition became a Star during Ascendancy. She released the Flows of all his fallen comrades, creating an entire constellation around the vortex prison, and she emerged as a Star attached to the Flow of her brother. That's when they became the first Binary Star and formed the Gemini Sigma constellation, the first event of its kind in the history of Thul Ithílíá.

They are now the most powerful Star in the expanse of the Sea of Stars, with their combined essence and understanding of both Flow and Ebb. they were able to bring harmony back to the plane, resting at the center around the prison of Vehoja with all other Constellations Flowing harmoniously around the pull of Ebb. However, for the past several centuries, Eta has been ordering the Stars of the Gemini Sigma constellation to form a message for the humans. Slowly drifting into concise arrangement for a constellation representing the coming Planar Conflux and the opening of the Nexus, the signs are there for mortals who can read the stars. 

[b]Abilities:[/b] Being a Star, Eta Carinae can float/fly anywhere even in compressed form. Like their old Firefly form, they can ignite their entire body with Star fire and bend it to their will. Not only is it a spectacle for outer planar beings to witness, its a useful combat ability. Eta Carinae also has full understanding of the primordial concepts of Ebb and Flow, the give and take, stress and relaxation, compression and decompression, life and death. Everything and Nothing. The body is a by-product of Flow, the mind and consciousness belong to the Ebb. 

[i][u]Star Directive:[/i][/u] Even while remaining in the Sea of Stars Eta Carinae can direct all their forces in other planes. They do this by being in Star form and utilizing the channel of Ebb to communicate in the minds of their followers. This can also be done in the presence of their forces, making the relaying of messages redundant as long as Grace slips into the Ebb and establishes Flow points in the minds of their followers. 

[i][u]Nova Blast:[/i][/u] Eta Carinae can discharge pulses of super heated plasma from any one of their four hands or even mouth and eyes. It's highly destructive and can severely wreck a landscape not mention disintegrate enemies quickly, severing flesh and bone on an atomic level. 

[i][u]Solar Pulse:[/i][/u] Eta Carinae can discharge a burst of solar winds from their body. They can also sling these winds from their hands and feet, making these an extension of their body. These winds are super heated, radioactive, and more powerful than any atmospheric winds generated on any of the planes. 

[i][u]Eta Carinae's Grace:[/i][/u] Grace can slip into the Ebb, the negative space between things in the physical world, and establish Flow points in allies, allowing them to receive energy from Eta Carinae. This can augment their own abilities with Star power, or heal wounds and debilitation with incredible speed. The limit to this is that Grace cannot get to far from Admonition, the range being a 30 ft radius. Those within this radius, however, can receive these benefits almost non-stop as long Grace has established these Flow points.

[i][u]Eta Carinae's Admonition:[/i][/u] Admonition can temporarily overpower the balance between him and his sister in order to greatly heighten his abilities. In this state, terrestrial beings and landscape would burn up/combust/disintegrate in his presence if they can't handle extreme temperatures. This presence extends spherically around his body at his own will and it could engulf entire terrestrial bodies if he expanded it far enough. Although, this is normally limited by his control and unwillingness to cause casualties to his own forces, or consume his sister in the wake of his power. The ability is also temporary, for he can only maintain this unbalance for so long before Grace's own Flow is burned up.

[b]Description:[/b] Eta Carinae establish themselves, and the Gemini Sigma constellation they lead, on the fringe of the Black Hole. A prison of pure Ebb, nothing, not even light, can escape its relentless pull into eternal darkness. They live on the very edge so that they themselves do not get sucked into its vortex, forever dancing around the edge of this enigma. Any otherplanar being stupid enough to enter their domain will soon known the depths of true torment as they are sucked into an abyss pulled into a point smaller than a marble.

[b]Name:[/b] Gemini Sigma Alliance
[b]Size:[/b] 1092
[b]Hierarchy and Culture:[/b] The Gemini Sigma Alliance is composed of few various types of beings native to Thul Ithílíá. The Stars of the Gemini Sigma constellation being the most powerful of the alliance especially in their various compressed forms. Not all Stars in the Gemini Sigma constellation are capable of compressing their forms and joining the alliance, some too inexperienced to successfully compress their forms into an ethereal body. Stars enjoy their day to day governance of terrestrial bodies, being benefactors to a whole host of life, infinite in number, shape, form and spectrum. These Stars automatically defer to Eta Carinae as the head of their constellation. This is out of tradition, but primarily because Grace gave them all new life during the ascendancy of Admonition. 
The Host of Angels are cosmic beings that are numerous in number, belonging to the constellation of their choosing. Capricious in their nature, they ride cosmic winds to terrestrial bodies enlightening races or taking part in power struggles as Angels of Wrath. Angels see themselves as agents of balance, and are willing to be what they need in order to maintain this balance. It is said that they can resonate their voices at such levels that they can perform the Song of Creation, and are able to sow the seeds of life on any planet. They also, follow the directive of Stars and their will, calling this the Imprint of the Firmament. It is a calling they cannot refuse. For the past couple centuries of Thul Ithílíá, they have belonged to the Gemini Sigma Constellation. Angels are also entirely female.
The Firefly are possibly the most powerful of all terrestrial races in Thul Ithílíá, and also the most likely to Ascend with their natural inborn ability to ignite themselves on fire and withstand any temperature. This latent talent also defines their race's culture and personality. They are passionate beings often driven by their desire to be free and anarchic. They lack a power structure of any kind, but are often very easily able to unite voluntarily and spontaneously. Very noble beings, they seek to take care of each and every terrestrial body they land on, often aiding other races in their advancement and making sure to prevent planets from being destroyed. This trait only became apparent after they were reigned under Vehoja to destroy planets and their denizens, eternally repenting for that previous mistake. 
Then there are the Nebula Dragons and Star Whales. Enigmatic and almost entirely unknown creatures, they have frequently danced with Eta Carinae in cosmic bliss. Grace took this time to converse with them within the Ebb, getting to know them through their intention and instinct. She found that they are sojourners in the Sea of Stars, forever travelling slowly through time, wandering and colluding with the Abyss of the cosmos. Grace also discovered that they were more in touch with Ebb than they were with Flow. 
This alliance is singular with no hierarchy within its ranks, and is composed of a voluntary assembly, because Eta Carinae saw the folly first hand in using the Ego to coerce others. They operate cohesively by inheriting the Will of Eta Carinea embedded within the Ebb that connects them all. It is for this reason they follow in Flow.
 
[b]History:[/b] This alliance was founded when Eta Carinae gained knowledge of the Demon Horde from other planes seeking to dominate the Mortal Plane. Reminiscent of their own struggle with Vehoja it spurned them to act in defense of the Mortals. Once the call rung out, resonated by the Will carried upon the Flow, their numbers formed on the edge of Event Horizon. 

[b]Military Capabilities:[/b]

Stars possess the same abilities as Eta Carinea except with less power, and an inability to access the Ebb, since this trait, so far, is unique to Grace. In number they are few but highly valuable. If they perish on the battlefield, they will likely send their dying form at the full front of the enemy, seeing as how they will super nova and likely destroy an entire army. It has already been communicated that Eta Carinae may use this in their favor, and turn their explosion into an implosion and destroy a plane entirely by creating a black hole in that plane. 
There are only 72 Stars, making up the sub-division called the Keywork. 

[b][i]Host of Angels[/b][/i]

Angels are hardy warriors when it comes to combat. One would typically call a combative angel an angel of wrath. In their wrathful states they often dawn armor forged from Star dust and cosmic debris, compounding these materials and their magical essence which is then wrought into their protection and weapons. The equipment augments their abilities and strengths greatly to rival the most powerful of other-planar beings. They don't possess any special abilities singularly other than their ferocity with a blade especially combined with the essence of Stars in their equipment, but together they have the ability for resonance in the form of song. These songs are typically used for beneficial purposes on terrestrial bodies, but they do have their uses in warfare as well. 
[i]Aria of Ancients:[/i] An song brimming with emotion that boosts the morale and heightens the natural abilities of all of their allies. 
[I]Cavatina of Flow:[/i] Another, more lengthy emotional piece that demoralizes enemies and hinders them by making them hesitate more, and stutter during combat, second guessing decisions they would have made with ease. This song takes time to put into effect.
[i]Serenade of Planetary Psalms:[/i] Conjures forth primal terrestrial beings embedded within the flow of the plane they are in. For instance, if they were on the mortal plane, it would summon a Earth Golem to their aide if they were on rocky terrain, if they were near the sea, it would bring forth an Ocean Elemental to join the fray. 
There are 505 Angels united under Eta Carinae.

Firefly are humanoid beings that typically vary little from average humans in appearance, except for their hair which is normally a shade of tempered fire and their eyes which are normally nebulous combinations of fiery red and blue. However, they possess tremendous latent ability to manipulate, produce, and utilize flames at will. This latent ability ranges from flying and enveloping their body with these flames to conjuring fire storms with combined numbers, or simply assailing the battlefield with fireballs. Depending on the individual Firefly, they grow hotter and brighter, fueling their combat ability directly with their own personal drive for victory. It's this unique trait, the link with their abilities to their passion that makes them a worthy adversary. 
There are 215 Firefly ranked within the Alliance.

[b][i]Nebula Dragons:[/i][/b]

Nebula Dragons are ethereal beings, not composed of solid substance. The Firefly people were unsure of what help they could provide on the battlefield, so they tested these creatures by attacking. What they found were that the dragons were hard to harm, and very good at displacing the Firefly by passing through and around them, separating their number and enshrouding them in darkness. They also found that their offensive capabilities, although small, could be useful. Nebula Dragons have solid crowns and jaws, their gaseous bodies following behind. and the teeth within these jaws are incredibly deadly. They can sift through enemies and pick off some while they strike the body with futility. Only the head can be struck and destroyed, which the Dragons do not make obvious, enshrouding the solid portion under the thick veil of their nebulous anatomy. 
There are 170 Nebular Dragons drifting with the Alliance.

Beings of pure majesty gliding effortlessly through Thul Ithílíá and its infinite expanse, they are harmless creatures to most, but their power is as equally inspirational as their grace across the Sea of Stars. They can hover like monolithic deployment points over a battlefield, and the resonance of their songs can cause severe debilitation to their foes. It has been observed that in the defense of their young, the haunting wails could cause internal hemorrhaging. Pirates in the Sea of Stars quickly learned to not chase after their young while a mother whale was present. Their tails and the use thereof could also cause a devastating force, and crush a human in an instant. Mainly though, it is the whale song that is the most useful in combat. 
There are 130 Star Whales.
