Man, Fuck Alfhiem! Gotta admit though, GGO was a redeeming feature. But! Gotta look at it from Kirito's view. He knows having friends is detrimental, since they will die and make you feel like shit, and slow down a man of his talents and get him killed as in the process. So when he finally got a friend - Sachi - she died. It's only after him and Asuna really get going that he comes out of his shell, since he is confident in her skills as well as his own and they work together very well.
