As always, it took Jalo a good fifteen minutes after Kaito knocked on his door to roll out of bed. Another twenty minutes went by before he showed himself downstairs. While it took him time, at least the fur on his head looked pristine. He had always been timid with tying new foods, and although Kaito cooked a lot, Jalo only took some bread and lettuce as he sat down to eat. Even that was improvement; for the first couple months of living on the planet, he wouldn't eat anything that wasn't native to his home. "Good Morning, Kai-ii-to. Thank you." The alien's accent was still strong, and they would have trouble with his name for a long time.
