The room stilled as realisation dawned about who stood before them. When Phoebe spoke up Magneto looked over to her, and Katherin besides. “I only needed an opportunity to address you all.. without interruption.” He said to them both, before more widely addressing the group. “This truce we signed all those years ago was a prison by another name, preventing us from helping the world reach a new era. A world run by the superior beings: us.” He didn’t need to state his intention, it was clear, but so was the stubborn attitude of most in the room. Kat eyed him up for a second before turning back to Magneto. “And I’m coming too.” Her words didn’t shake, and were as calm as if she was simply inviting herself on a road trip. She didn’t flinch from his gaze and smiled earnestly as she walked towards him. “Though clearly not everyone is as willing.” She murmured as she neared him, looking back to Katherin and the brewing confrontation. “Well this is a shame.” Magneto said with mock sadness before turning to the men who had locked them in in the first place. “Take who you can, the stronger the better.” And then the chaos ensued.
