Nouvelle A trio of HV-6 Sparasinta (Sparrowhawk) VTOL aircraft thundered through the mountain range, the droning of their J3 PlasmaJet engines reverberating across the tall peaks. Once they exited the range they lowered altitude to treetop level and began scouting around. That's when one of the pilots noticed a group of the blazes. As lead of the flight he designated the other two to go to the respective fires while his HV-6 quickly adjusted its bearings and began barreling over there. Once he got closer he realized he was approaching a small town, what looked like very primitive mining equipment and warehouses comprising most of the hamlet. He touched down shortly outside, and offloaded 20 general purpose marines. The two squads wore the typical standard-issue powered armor. Each soldier was nearly seven feet tall, and brandished gunmetal-gray armor with markings identifying ranks. The only thing sticking out was the faceplate and HUD, tinted yellow from the chlorine gas cycling through the suit. The soldiers unslung their weapons. Most of the marines reached for their Type 3 Cyclonic Battery Assault Rifle, while four marksmen--two to each squad--pulled out Type 2 Designated Marksman Rifles. Two support gunners took large Type 9 Automatic Support System weapons and two antitank soldiers pulled out Type 11 Personal Anti-Armor Weapons. Once they were locked and loaded they moved from the VTOL, which began to take off as it changed course to regroup with Might of a Thousand Suns, and began striding towards the fire.
