Today is like any other day. Anubis stood on an apartment building twenty stories up, watching the sun rise. He stood contemplating the inevitable, he would die someday, and his name will live on, it didn't matter right now so he slipped it to the back of his mind to think about it for another time, he looked down at the many stories below. He took a deep breath and stepped off the roof. As he felled people pointed and yelled, he closed his eyes and sand from all eight of the gourds slipped under his feet, creating a platform for him to fly on. He started to fly forward, looking for anything out of the ordinary in his city. As he flew he saw some police officers having a firefight, with some hooded individuals. Anubis' platform of sand stopped and he fell through, landing on one of the opposing men's shoulders, a satisfying crackle and scream came from him as he shoulders broke and man was crushed under Anubis' weight, he jumped off of the man, the sand racing to form a long light brown staff with a per ankh on the head, The men turned their guns on Anubis, "get him!" one shouted, A long shot of cloth shot out from Anubis' sleeve and wrapped around the man's legs, pulling it the man fell, hitting the back of his head on the car he was using as cover, his head turned to a man beside him, Anubis ducked, just missing the man's bullet, he swiped his staff into the mans side, causing him to lean the Jackal masked man then delivered a quick kick the face, the man fell as he turned to another man who looked in shock as his friends were brought down so easily, he put his hands up "I give up!" he shouted and he threw his gun to the ground Anubis scoffed and pointed a finger at the man, "you don't have the privilege to give up", his staff turned into a narrow spear and shot into the mans chest "your heart will be eaten and lost". The sand settled and slithered back into it's urns. He turned to the man who cried on the ground, his shoulders shattered he wouldn't survive the night. Anubis then rose, police calling in his description, calling for him to stop. Anubis just floated away on his sand platform. Today would be a day like any other day.
