The Cathedral of Causality faded away, along with the silhouettes of eleven other figures, each with varying shapes and sizes. When all had been restored, Youta lay on his bed with his limbs outstretched. Lifting his arm to his face, he noticed he was holding his phone. It was an ordinary iPhone, apart from the strange microphone connected to the top. "This has to be a joke..." he muttered to himself. He sat up and called out, "Muru muru, this has be be some kind of joke, right?" Just then, his phone made a loud noise, like static from a poorly adjusted TV antenna. "What the...?" A new sound file had appeared in his samples folder, titled [Car Siren]. Youta selected it, and a waveform appeared on his screen along with a caption. "I was sitting in my room when I heard a loud car siren outside. I decided to sample it for a new song I'm working on" he read aloud to himself. The playback bar scrolled through the waveform, playing a loud siren. "But I didn't record this!" Just then a boisterous alarm sounded through his neighborhood. Right outside across the street, his neighbor had accidentally set off his car's security alarm by attempting to open the door before unlocking it. The sound matched Youta's phone exactly. "I don't believe it..." At the realization that this game was reality, Youta began to breathe heavily and sweat. "This is actually happening. I'm going do die." He stood up and began to pace his room. "Where do I even begin? I have no idea who those people were, and even if I were to find one would I be able to kill them just like that? Even if my own life was in danger, how would I handle that?" He sat at his desk and buried his head in his hands. "Why is this happening...?" After a few minutes he sat on his bed, studying the entries that flooded his phone. "If I want to live, I should learn the limitations of my diary. Let's see what I've recorded in the future."
