Since everyone else is kicking around ideas for alternative characters, here's one I've had rattling around for a bit now: smarmy war-profiteering Breton. Scavenged weapons and heirlooms, black soul gems, fresh(ish) bodies, even the odd meat pie if you're daring. Death can be a very lucrative business if you've the stomach for it.

EDIT: As an aside, you guys might appreciate this. I've just spent an hour preparing for a "canon" Skyrim playthrough (Talos, Companions, the whole nine yards) by throwing dragon words together to form a "true name" for my Nord dude. When the dust settled I ended up with the exceptionally long Bruniilah Beyrozin (Moon-Savage Honored-Guilt) and Sivaas (Beast) for short since neither I nor my gf could pronounce it to save our lives.
