Where? I don't believe I sent any ships to the moon. As far as I [i]remember[/i], I only kept one Explorer and one Varren, both of which are in orbit around N-1.

Those are the full core-planets, and entering that space as an unidentified sentient race with a high speed and an intercept course will get you targeted, and if there isn't a response, then you'll probably be annhilated. A fleet would be a different story of course, but the reason I say this is because some guy, the first ever for hundreds of years, shows up and starts trying to kill people. Defensive, yes, and that means shooting anyone that gets into turret range when on high alert.
