In my collaboration experience, it simply came down to either party writing one or two paragraphs in turn - resulting in a single long post of alternating styles as opposed to a dozen or so short individual ones; generally making it a lot faster and avoiding a huge clutter of smaller posts that everyone has to sift through.

In other words, many posts all put into a single one.
