Noticing that everybody had left, Kael left in a rush of flames that appeared around his feet, consuming him. Outside, he reappeared, where he noticed several plants around him. He bent down to touch a lilac, smelling its aroma. He sat there for several moments, taking in the smell. His mother never smelled like that and nor did his father, but it smelled amazing. Picking it from the ground, he pushed it into his pocket when he began to walk out into the lawn, not wanting to be around the ruckus. He laid down on a green spot of grass that looked comfortable and looked at the downing sun. He closed his eyes, not wanting to return to the present or past, as both were very real, where the future was not. What did it hold for him? Who would he meet? How...would he change? He thought upon these topics while napping in the sun.
