Of course, the chances of actually finding anyone by going with one fleet directly away from home territory are one in a trillion, or more. On land, you can go North, South, East, and West, and all in between. In space, you can go up, down, to the left, to the right, forward, backwards, and most combinations thereof. Simply going out into the black in an attempt to find someone with a single fleet could yield zero results for hundreds of years 99.99% of the time. We've got telescopes and the like pointed at other points of the galaxy, trying to find planets and suns and moons, and few are even in the liquid water zone with ideal conditions.
