That's why he tried to pick a fight with you,. and basically kept Connor away from the real fight. Even without his powers, he's so much bigger and stronger than most of the other students that he has to fight kids with enhanced strength like you for it to be fair at all. The fact that he picked you means that he both respects the fact that you're a skilled fighter and the fact that you're strong.
