After the fire he and his sister ran away knowing they would most likely be separated if they stayed. They lived on the streets for six years, with Jonathan fighting for or stealing what they needed to survive. One night while he was out looking for something for the two of them to eat, his sister wad attacked and killed. He came back to their dirty alley to find his sister sitting against a wall, her head cut off and a note in her hand. All it said was "you will never find me." Having already read about the game master in the papers, his dispare quickly turned to unadulterated anger. He knew that someone had the answers to who did this to his baby sister. So he grabbed the note and headed out, planning to crack open heads until he found his answers.
