Wow... So many apologies... Lol. It's no difficulty to write in third person. That's actually how I usually write (though I have done other characters in all first person, as well as some in a combo of both). It's just that given the setting I thought first person might be an interesting twist on the norm. And since Scott is so stoic and controlled on the outside, it would give me a bit better avenue to explore what he's thinking and feeling. I don't want to scare anyone out of the RP though, so switching to third person isn't any problem.
