[Damian] Stepping up to Mayt, Damian crosses his arms. "So you would abandon Wes to whatever fate befell him? You would go on living your life as though he'd never been here simply because you want to play it safe? Did you observe the Magic Council's forces movements over the last few months? The two other demons we stopped there was an entire unit just watching us work, making no effort to step in and stop or reduce the damage being caused by Demon and guild alike. During my travels from job to job, I've watched them 'arrest' members of guilds with extraordinary magic. Members who's records were clean because their guilds took jobs that weren't typically located in towns if the magic was particularly destructive." His voice grew colder as he continued. "Even before I had magic, when I was with the Fiore Royal Army, the Magic Council did strange things that would reach my father's unit now and then. Groups of monsters being captured and moved to an undisclosed location rather than being slain, freelance wizards doing delivery jobs for people who needed the help going missing in the middle of the delivery after being stopped by Council forces. This Guild has always done what's right, and finding out what happened to Wes along with finding out what the Magic Council is up to IS the right thing to do. It wouldn't even have to be an attack, sneak in, get the book, look around and then leave, no fighting, no magic used." Turning back to Master Jamie, Damian nods. "You can count me in, Master. I'll always be willing to help a fellow guild member." [James] Watching the guy with yet another sword and Damian go at it, James sighs, shakes his head, and orders a drink while mulling over what had just been said. Accusing guilds that had done nothing wouldn't surprise him, seeing as the Magic Council was always ordering it's forces to somewhere there wasn't trouble. And if one of the older members had just up and vanished..."To hell with it, I'm in as well. It's my duty as both a member of this guild and a paladin to help."
