Bregil smiled back at Caspain and Nyx as she turned her attention to the rest of the company. A diverse group, she wondered if this was going to be it or if there were more. This was going to be an interesting group. There definitely won't be a dull moment with this crowd. The man she assumed was the leader stood, he was the tallest human she had ever seen. "It's not an issue, I expected some people to show up later than others, it's a hell of a stroll to get into this town. I'm Aldred by the way." He said to Bregil, shaking her hand firmly, a friendly smile on his face. “Nice to meet you,” she said with a nod. Another man came up to them and if Bregil hadn't have just met Aldred, this new man would have been the tallest human she had ever seen. Interesting group indeed. The new man spoke to Aldred. "I will join you," he said, "but know this, I am not a hired thug, nor am I a mercenary. I am not a thief and your promise of payment does not interest me so do not think that you have any say on my actions." "I understand, as long as you simply are committed to the cause and don't do anything that could have us all killed then we won't have any issues." Aldred said Bregil turned to the new visitor and gave him a half smile and tilted her head as if to say that's fair enough. A fierce looking woman spoke up next. “How do we know that a bunch of insecure old men are gathering a bunch of threats and shleek.” Sipley pretended to cut her own throat with her finger, drawing an invisible line ear to ear. Bregil grimaced. She had a point. A dark and frightening point but a point none the less. Aldred's answer put that fear to rest though as she took a seat at the table. Another woman joined them asking if she missed anything. Bregil gave her a warm smile and a wave hello as she signaled to the bartender. He grumbled over to her obviously still angry about their encounter earlier. “Yeah?” “Mead if you could please?” she asked, straining politeness. He grunted and stalked off. Rude, Bregil thought as she looked over the company. She noticed a bard. She had met a handful of Bards in her lifetime. Every now and then one would come to her grandparents for elixirs or healing and they would always play something. She admired those who could play since she had no talent in music or anything that required artistic ability for that matter despite being half elf. She noticed he was also a half elf. Lucky, she thought. The bartender returned with no change in attitude and gave her the mead in exchange for some coin. The bartender walked away and she took a sip only to immediately spit it back in her cup. “Oh that's awful,” she said shaking her head and setting the cup on the table pushing it away from her. She reached in her satchel and pulled out her water skin and took a swig. Bregil sighed and turned her thoughts to Faervel hoping he wasn't getting too bored out there. She'd check on him in a moment.
