Suddenly, morale boost. I was quite happy and contempt, if not awed by Celes. Suddenly, our losing streak had taken a turn, and we were beginning to kick ass. "Hell yeah! Let's take him down like a horse then!" Now, we didn't need to retreat. We just had to stand our ground and finish off that Charmeleon. Not even our previous defeats and Davis' betrayal could sadden me at this point. Everything was coming up our way, and by Arceus it was golden. I could already imagine beating the shit out of that Charmeleon, and if stuck by our morals, we'd probably just... I dunno, beat him half-way to hell. We had already knocked out one of the two Pokemon, and I was pretty desperate for a win in this world of pain. ...what did I usually do again? It involved mercy, but frankly the world's not the same. Never was, never will. "Alright, let's do it!" And with that, I watched the Charmeleon move around, before doing my own thing: I banged my magnets together like thunder, creating... well, a blast wave instead. A yellow laser underwater in this zone instead became a yellow orb of... well, slowly-shifting explosion. Assuming you could catch up to the speed of it, of course.
