Liesel had to admit, when the mad lumberjack raised his axe, fury in his eyes and blood on his mind, she panicked a little. She might have been a necromancer, but she was partial to living. But instead of bringing the axe down on her head, as expected, the lumberjack stopped. A woman in the crowd was berating him. She said they were civilised people (yeah, right) and that it was a matter for the Clergy to deal with. Oh great, Liesel thought, another dealing with the Clergy. Why did they not realise that the more they dragged her there and forced her to pray to some god or another, the less she wanted to believe? Didn't they get that churches genuinely made her feel dizzy and sick? No, she wanted to avoid the priests as much as possible. "Hey, now, let's not make any rash decisions" the grave-girl said hastily "We can find a way to resolve this without needing to involve the church, right? Why don't we just forget any of this ever happened?"
