Not [i]normally[/i], no. However, he can sense large amounts of it, like in the Mountain of Light and in Narnia. Depending on how much Light was 'spilled' in the battle, Ascot might sense a twinge or two. That said, though, Amaya's still the logical choice to sense the battle.
