'It's my ability.' Kayleb answered. 'I can summon stuff and make stuff disappear. I don't know exactly how it works, though.' Kayleb was pretending that he didn't notice the mouth on Synn's arm. After all, he was covered in bandages and if his arm was like that, then it was reasonable to assume a lot of his body had that too. Due to the fact that it was hidden, Kayleb assumed that Synn didn't bring it up too often. So it was most likely something he shouldn't mention. It's probably magic or something, Kayleb decided. He also didn't want to lose a potential friend. That said, it probably topped his weird list of magic things for the day. 1. Arm mouth; 2. Blood-on-a-skirt 'hall pass'; 3. Some guy with Aviators, a top hat and a light show who probably fell somewhere around 100 feet and survived. But that said, he was hungry so it didn't really matter in the end. So long as he didn't get eaten or something (probably an insensitive thought). Walking towards the dining hall, he began to smell the delicious smells of breakfast. Several scents wafted towards him in an unholy mix. Bacon, Pancakes, Cake, Toast... Too many smells to count and the resulting concoction of scents was a smell to behold. I wish you could smell this, Saydie. Kayleb thought. Me too. She replied in his head. Kayleb didn't directly speak to Saydie in public because she had telepathic powers and only he could hear her. He got some weird looks when he was homeless and some people tried to put him in a mental hospital. He ran away, of course. Sometimes it was a task juggling a mental conversation and a normal one, but he'd gotten used to it somehow. Turning a corner, Kayleb and Synn finally made it to the dining hall. 'Wow.' Kayleb said. The dining hall was larger than most of the areas of the school he'd seen and it probably held over 1000 students. What's more, Kayleb saw so many different dishes, most of which he didn't even know. His stomach rumbled, reminding him of his plight. Synn's arm mouth ignored, Kayleb rubbed his hands together in anticipation. 'Time for food.' Kayleb said.
