Michelle sighed. She had expected that response from him, but it was still not the best thing to hear. Then again, she was planning to let him do most of the work, so perhaps it had evened things out. "Alright then, I'll go find us a path," Michelle said, then went over to a nearby tree and climbed upward. Upon reaching a branch, she steadied herself as she scanned the area. The boy was right about one thing: everywhere around them looked roughly the same. Then her eyes came across a Beowulf heading toward their direction. She hoped that that was not a bad sign, although that hope soon vanished when its pack soon came to join it in its charge. "Ok, we're going that way!" Michelle yelled down to Gerald, pointing in the opposite direction. "And we better hurry! Beowulves are coming!" She wanted nothing more than to leap away from the incoming pack, but she felt that she couldn't leave her new partner behind.
