You get to choose the pistol. But only a pistol, and a melee weapon. You don't have room to take any rifles or shotguns in with you. But seeing the country is in upheaval you can pick up something like that there.

The pistol can be a modern M9 or a slightly older M1911. All up to you.

And the melee weapon can be anything from the good old K-Bar knife, to a forged 2 foot short sword or even a tomahawk. Just remember, that's all you're going in with at the moment.

And it might be days, or weeks before you might get your hands on something like an AK47. If you're lucky you may find a F2000 or a SCAR.

It's all possible, though the newer guns will be very rare. The older the weapon, the more common. You are more likely to see crappy FNFALs and AK74 carbines over M16s or QBZ95s
