As the battle broke out all around her, Victoria suddenly found herself neck deep in a vicious war between two factions that despised each other. Her thoughts of getting away, of fleeing to safety to avoid the conflict fell away as the adrenalin took over and as she realized that she had but one job to do: to hold the line. Breaking away from a small engagement, she suddenly sensed a pair of hateful eyes bearing down on her but before she could search for who it was she felt her legs become heavy and slow, as if walking knee deep in a bog. Glancing back her eyes spotted the skull and heard its countdown but the knight knew well she couldn’t leave her position. Gritting her teeth, she continued the defensive; willing to take the spell’s damage to her incredibly large health pool. Just as the decision was made, however, a dark blur came down on her and her vision clouded with shadows. Victoria didn’t care so long as she knew where the enemy was coming from and with a [Challenging Roar] she made sure whoever it was would have eyes only for her. Her shout cut through the sounds of battle as several of the weaker NT members froze in place while the rests began regarding her with interest, losing sight of their own battles. [Hold the Line!] With her shield raised, the knight was ready for the unholy warrior’s attack as the mace came crashing down. However, much to her surprise the shield proved ineffective as she watched 1/8th of her HP slip away along with a solid chunk of her stamina. She would need the aid of her fellows, and soon, if she hoped to drive back this particular blackguard.
