"Gah, get off me, you oaf," Loki squirmed as he slapped Thor's hands away. He wished he was surprised that his brother had woken him up in the middle of the night, but it wasn't like this happened more often. Wasn't he supposed to be the older and more responsible one? He sat up and rubbed the sleep from his eyes, grumpy mood dispelling a bit when he saw that Thor had brought him a book. "A place to go, you say?" he said, paging through the book. It was one he was familiar with, and Thor probably should have been as well. Anything that wasn't about battles or killing however, did not quite manage to keep his attention. "Have you forgotten all the stories about Midgard, brother? The people there are crude and primitive. Last time father visited they thought he was a god." In spite of his words, Loki was getting interested. He had been trying to find ways across the branches of Yggdrasil that did not involve taking the bifrost, and this would be as good a opportunity as any to try them out. "And I am guessing you realise Heimdall will not let us pass?"
